I was just anticipating a great experience tonight and then I really started laughing at myself.

Does anybody here recognize themselves?

I was looking forward to:

Curling up with a new Big All-American Comics' microfiche. . .

LOL. Maybe I'll spend some quality time with my lovely wife instead!!

Why I am still married is a mystery!!

VE-RY tolerant woman.

Tonight's choices:

A) Software books (I'm studying for a career enhancement/change)

B) Flash Archives, V2 and/or Spirit Archives, V10

C) A novel, currently working on "Manifold Origin" by Stephen Baxter

D) Some combo of the above.

Most likely, D.

Go out and have fun on a Saturday night? What, are you MAD?

My wife is curled up with the latest Nevada Barr novel and fighting off a cold. I'm killing a few minutes here before I have to call Rory Root back to help him come up with a chronology of graphic novels and comic-related trades to pass on to Charles Vess for the comics issue of Locus that he's doing.

I read Locus, order it every month through Previews. I'm looking forward to the horror issue, as well as the comics issue (wasn't it actually a graphics novel issue, I can't remember?). Anyway, there's nothing like an evening spent watching your kids roughhouse, spending hours on the comics' internet boards, and sneaking a peek at The Steve Ditko Reader, which I got last week.

Are you saying Microcomics has sent you the Big All-American fiche? Anything else with it? If yes, then I can start stalking my mailbox tomorrow.

I got the Big All-American in the mail Friday. It came with the Capt. Marvel Special Edition. Big AA is on 2 fiche.

I haven't had a change to read it yet, but I did "flip" through it real quick. I think the artist on the Wildcat feature is a new one for me. Draws Wildcat much bulkier than I've ever seen him before.

Yessss.

It comes with the already reprinted Special Edition Comics (a preliminary stab by Fawcett Comics at a Captain Marvel solo title).

Life is good.
